ABOUT THE PROGRAMME

The overall objectives of the Norwegian Financial Mechanism 2009-2014 are to contribute to the reduction of economic and social disparities in the European Economic Area and to the strengthening of bilateral relations between Norway and Hungary.  In the framework of the programme parties endeavour to select for funding projects that contribute to the achievement of these objectives.

One focal area of the Norwegian Financial Mechanism is “Green industry innovation”.

Objective: The objective of the “Green industry innovation” programme is to increase competitiveness of green enterprises, including greening of existing industries, green innovation and green entrepreneurship.

Sub-programme 1:

Reduced production of waste and emissions to air, water and ground

  • waste management and environmental remediation;
  • water quality management;
  • air quality.

Sub-programme 2:

More use of environmentally friendly technologies such as

  • nano-, photo-, and biotechnology, materials, others

 

Outcomes:

  • Reduced production of waste and reduced emissions to air, water and ground
  • More use of environmentally friendly technologies
  • Increased green job creation and entrepreneurship

Donor programme partner: Innovation Norway

Project size: minimum 170.000 € - maximum 1.600.000 €.

Eligible applicants: Corporation with legal entity and cooperatives on its own, budgetary units and non-profit organisations as partners
